ALUMINUM BODY BOLTS

A new entry into the weight savings arena is aluminum body bolts, designed to replace the steel bolts currently used in dirt late models. Made from 6061-T6 aluminum, these bolts are 1/4-20 thread, 3/4" long, with a 3/4" head flange. A "dog point" end eases assembly with power tools. Matching serrated lock nuts complete the assembly. These are 1/3 the weight of steel components. Weight savings of over 5 pounds per car has been attained.
